Hi Awesome Students and Parents:
 
It's hard to believe that the five-week grades are already approaching! I want to thank all of you for your help with the beginning of the semester. I know that there has been some parent homework and other things to turn in. Parents, if you need more time for the parent items, please take your time.
 
I've found that we can have greater communication for the whole year if we get some of these items in so that I can learn more about the students and so that parents know how to reach me. I know that you are all very busy, and I am truly grateful for your support. 
 
Most of the assignments so far have been about getting to know each other and starting our election unit. I've done my best to enter all of the information to date; I will do one more round of checking parent survey and Schoology/Parent portals. If you think that I have missed something, please feel free to reach me at [email protected].

It is really important that you go to your class to subscribe. We did this together so the students should know how to do it. If not, just watch the one-minute video and it's easy!

This assignment is for parents to register their account in the Parent Portal for Schoology access. The Parent Portal is the "door" and Schoology is the place where grades and assignments are kept.

Parents should have received two mailed letters from the district detailed pin code and account information.

WEDNESDAY 8/19- INDEPENDENT WORK THROUGH YOUR ADVISORY AND MEET AND GREET

You made it through the first day!! Way to go. On Wednesday, 8/19, you will be doing two things. The first is independent work in the morning Go to your advisory class where you will have different independent activities to do than you did on the first day. You will have another two videos to watch, a checklist and a discussion post.
 
WEDNESDAY'S MEET AND GREET - COME AND MEET YOUR TEACHERS. BRING YOUR PARENTS!!

On Wednesday, August 19th, Students will log into Schoology and go to their Advisory (Homeroom) class. There will be some activities from the district posted that need to be completed, including a discussion post that will count for their attendance for the day.  At 1pm, there will be a meet and greet with the Nobel teachers, according to your student’s schedule. Teachers will post the Zoom meeting links in their classes. The schedule will be:

            1:00 – 1:10pm          Period 1

            1:15 – 1:25pm          Period 2

            1:30 – 1:40pm          Period 3

            1:45 – 1:55pm          Advisory

            2:00 – 2:10pm          Period 4

            2:15 – 2:25pm          Period 5

            2:30 – 2:40pm          Period 6

I am also attaching a full schedule for the first week so we know where to meet each other.
