Grad Night is coming!
8th Grade Jr Grad Night at Magic Mountain will be Friday, June 2.
Ticket sales will be Monday, May 15, Wednesday May 17th through Friday, May 19th, in the MPR during lunch only. There will be NO ticket sales on Tuesday, May 16th due to the 12K run.
Flyers are coming home soon with 8th grade students.  You can also find the flyer below.
Eligible students must bring the completed Permission/Emergency Information Form, $50 cash and student ID to purchase tickets.
If you have any questions or want to volunteer, please contact NobelPTSA@gmail.com.
The 8th Grade Dance will be on Friday, May 5, from 5:30-7:30, in the MPR. Flyers/Parent Permission Slips will go home with 8th grade students on Monday, April 24, and tickets go on sale at the Student Store ($15) on Tuesday, April 25. Students CANNOT be non-par if they wish to buy tickets or attend. Any student who is currently non-par but who comes off the non-par list as a result of 15-week grades can buy their tickets after 15-week progress reports come out on Friday, April 28. Any student who is not currently on the non-par list but who thinks there is a chance they may become non-par as a result of the 15-week progress report, should WAIT to buy their ticket until the progress report comes out on Friday. Adult volunteers are needed to help set-up/decorate the MPR on May 5 from 11:00-2:00, and to help chaperone/serve-food/check students in, etc., from 5:00-8:00 (or a portion thereof). If you have any questions, or want to receive emails with further details, or want to volunteer, please email NobelPTSA@gmail.com and mention 8th Grade Dance in the subject.

The PTSA Sponsored 8th Grade Grad Night at Magic Mountain will be on Friday, June 2. Flyers/Parent Permission Slips will go home with students around May 8, and tickets will be sold on Monday, May 15, and Wednesday, May 17 through Friday, May 19, at lunch ONLY, in the MPR (NO ticket sales on Tuesday, May 16 due to the annual 12K Tovey Run). Students CANNOT be non-par (based on the 15-week non-par list) to buy tickets or to attend. Tickets are $50, CASH ONLY, and there are NO refunds under any circumstances. To buy a ticket, students must come to the MPR on one of the ticket sale days, with their signed permission form, their student ID, and their $50. ALL students wishing to ride the same bus as their friends MUST appear TOGETHER to purchase their tickets, as bus assignments are made at the time of ticket purchase.

Grad Night festivities will begin on June 2 immediately after school (at 3:00), with the PTSA providing pizza, chips, cookies, and drinks to ALL 8th grade students who are not on the non-par list (regardless of whether they are going to Magic Mountain or not), in the covered lunch area. Students who are going to Magic Mountain should NOT leave school between 3:00 dismissal and going to Magic Mountain. We will begin loading students onto the buses at about 3:45, and students should arrive at Magic Mountain around 4:45. ALL students attending grad night MUST travel both ways on our buses -- Magic Mountain will NOT allow anyone to arrive for Grad Night in anything other than a bus. Magic Mountain is open to the public until 8:00pm; thereafter it will ONLY be junior high grad night students in attendance. Students should arrive back at Nobel between about 12:20am-1:00am. Parents should plan to pick up their child on Merridy Street, and please be on time (have your child call or text you when their bus leaves Magic Mountain).

We need adult volunteers to help with Grad Night -- as chaperones who go to Magic Mountain on the buses with the kids, and/or to help serve/clean-up the pizza at Nobel. If you have any questions, or want to receive emails with further details, or want to volunteer, please email NobelPTSA@gmail.com and mention Grad Night in the subject. Please understand that chaperone slots are limited -- we receive one chaperone ticket for every 15 students, and teachers/staff members get first dibs on being chaperones. Usually around 20 parents are needed as chaperones, but that varies year to year. Parent chaperones will generally be selected by lottery a few days before June 2, but priority may be given to those who volunteer at the 8th Grade Dance. Chaperones will be required to spend a certain amount of time (about an hour or two) in the chaperone area at Magic Mountain, and are free to wander the park during the rest of the evening. There is no guarantee that any chaperone will be assigned to the same bus as their child.

Both of these events are great events that the kids love! Please help us make them fantastic by donating your time if you are able to.
