General Art Gallery

Students in General Art created the wonderful work on this page. The General Art program is a sequential and comprehensive curriculum which starts with the fundamentals of visual art concepts and develops with progressive knowledge and skills. The goal is to expand on students' skills so that they are proficient creators and observers of art and the world around them. The curriculum encompasses the areas of art history, aesthetics, criticism, production, integrated studies, careers, and community. Through self-reflection students analyze each component of their art education as they engage in various forms of communication, utilizing a variety of art media, vocabulary and resources. Students also make connections between art and other disciplines. They utilize technology, community resources and explore career opportunities and community involvement in the visual arts.
