7th grade AVID-Beauvoir Assignments

Hello students,

 

Thanks for all your hard work that brings us to our very important observation tomorrow. Please try to be on time or even a bit early so we can be ready to go into tutorials quickly.  You guys rock and you are the reason the AVID program really shines. It's your hard work and dedication....

Please write 3 higher level questions about the article.

 

6 Cornell Notes must be completed and revised with questions on the left side and summaries on the bottom.

Remember all the details: heading in ink, EQ, Organized notes, highlighted key terms, underline important information, star items that might be on tests, put question marks next to information that might be good to present in tutorials because you do not understand the material.

1. Have Cornell notes on your topic or other resources such as Homework or textbook.

2. Be ready with questions for your group members.

3. Remember...although it's tempting to want to take over and just show the presenter how to do the problem, group members are to ask questions that will empower the presenter and allow that person to discover the answer for him or herself.

Have your TRF completely prepared.

We will be looking for detail and especially your POC identified as it relates to the step that you last understood.

Bring to class materials from two classes this week that you can take Cornell notes on. You will be writing notes in class tomorrow.

Be prepared to participate in Tutorials on Thursday. Print your own TRF or copy by hand.

UCLA FIELD TRIP WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 18. BRING YOUR OWN LUNCH OR MONEY TO BUY LUNCH THERE.

PREPARE QUESTIONS TO ASK YOUR TOUR GUIDES.
