Dear Parents and Students,

   Welcome to Accelerated Common Core Algebra I class at Nobel Middle School.  I am excited and looking forward to a successful and productive school year with your student.  My goal is to give students a foundation for exploring and understanding Geometry, Algebra II, and Trigonometry concepts, which they will learn the following years.  Our students' success is highly dependent on a good communication between the school and home.  If education is important to you, it will be important to your child.  Don't wait for me to contact you if you have questions or concerns.  Please e-mail me at [email protected].

   Students enrolled in Accelerated Common Core Algebra I class will be required to take two tests at the end of the school year.  The first one is a Smarter Balanced Common Core 8th grade test which will assess their mastery of 8th grade standards learned in 7-8th grade, and the second test is Algebra I Exit Exam which will assess students’ mastery of Common Core Algebra I standards.
