Description

This class is based on the CA State Content Standards with the integration of the Next Generation Science Standards and the Common Core State Standards that include Investigation and Experimentation, Motion and Forces, Density and Buoyancy, Structure of Matter, an introduction to the Periodic Table, Chemical Reactions, Life Chemistry, and Our Solar System and the Universe. The mission of this course is to provide a challenging, college preparatory educational experience where students will engage in critical thinking and use analytical skills to answer thought-provoking questions and solve problems. By the time you leave this class, it is my expectation that you will become effective problem solvers, good note-takers and acquire critical thinking skills such as close reading and evidence-based writing, in order to succeed in all your future academic endeavors.
