English 7 (Period 2nd Hr) Assignments

 7th Grade English will prepare students for the next step up the ladder of success in school by having them read high interest poems, stories, and essays closely. Students will learn to engage with these texts individually and collaboratively in order to discern authors' messages through the diction, imagery, details, language, syntax, and tone embedded in each work, ultimately speaking and  writing coherently and fluidly about their interactions with these works of art.

 

We will assess all this study through multiple levels of the taxonomy of learning: beginning with knowledge and understanding, moving through application and analysis, and seeking to master the higher levels of evaluation, and synthesis.

 

Students can be the creators of the future when they apply the lessons of the past with passion to their present circumstances.
