Ancient Civilization Festival

Good morning Family members from room 35

We have been talking in class about this festival for several weeks now!! I showed students pictures from last years festival as well as the costumes I have available.  We also had a discussion yesterday about using an old t-shirt from a parent,(this works the best) and old vests.  I would prefer students using something from home as a base..and then I would fill in the rest.  The problem I have is that the festival is in a different location this year!  It's going to be much harder to share costumes, because students have very limited time to switch them over from period 1-3.  Plus, students were concerned with having to share.  They can wear anything that will make them look like peasants/villagers from the past. It's also going to be warm, which is why students are supposed to wear a solid t-shirt and shorts under their costumes.   I had a student bring in an old bed sheet today that we cut up and made into a tunic.  The whole day is supposed to be fun and representation of life back in Ancient Israel.

I hope this helps. ðŸ˜Š
