Congress Biography and Reflection

I was trying to avoid you having homework over break. But, if you did not complete the Congress Biography and Reflection before break, please turn it in by Monday, January 9 at the beginning of your class period.

Remember, a Reflection that earns an A is at least 2 pages (regular), 3 pages (honors), uses complete well written sentences, and brings in details about the law making process to showcase what you have learned through the simulation.

If you were one of the following roles, President, VP, Chief Justice, Speaker of the House, Senate Majority Leader, or Whip, you should fill out Part Two pertaining to your role. You may not be able to say how you voted in committee, but you can reflect on your role. You can reflect on what you were doing at the time when the other members of Congress were working in committees. Therefore, if you had a role where you did not do something mentioned in the worksheet, you should answer the reflection question as if it were posed to you and what you were doing at the same time. I.e. The President/VP were dealing with the PDB, signing laws, etc. The Speak of the House/Senate Majority Leader and whips were managing the bills, putting them up for vote on the floor, etc.

See you soon! Have a great rest of your break!

Chapter 6 Key Terms Quiz will be on Friday, September 30. You are welcome to use any method you like to review for this. My suggested method is using Quizlet.com since I created this Quizlet set and print the quiz directly from the website. I suggest testing yourself using Quizlet until you feel ready (until you get through it with 100%). I will be choosing 20 random words from the chapter that will be on the quiz. We have used these words in class, you have used them in your bookwork, and you should have read about them in the text.

Below is the link to the Chapter 6 Key Terms Quizlet. The profile I used was EastRichardistan. If you can't seem to use the link below, you can go to Quizlet.com and search for EastRichardistan. The Chapter 6 Key Terms should come up.
