Period 5 American Sign Language

Welcome to Mrs. Calloway’s American Sign Language (ASL) elective! We will be exploring ASL for the next ten weeks. You will be learning the ASL alphabet, numbers, vocabulary, and how to have a conversation with a Deaf individual.

My goal for this 10 week elective is to have fun and teach you another language.

The students will be graded on their participation in class. Students will also be graded on in-class activities. They will receive an academic grade (A-F) and an E/S/U for work habits and cooperation. If the students show me they are participating and they are willing to put in effort, they will do fine in class. Homework for this class consists of practicing the vocabulary. If the students get behind in their practice, they will have a harder time later in the ten weeks.
