Library Media Center

The library is open from 7:30 through a half hour after school. We are open at nutrition and lunch. On shortened Tuesdays and minimum days, the library is closed after school.

Students may check out up to 3 books for 2 weeks at a time, and must show their ID at time of check out. There is a fine of 10¢ per day for overdue books. Teachers may check out books for a semester, and should clear their records by the end of the semester.
Library Staff
Teacher Librarian is Janet Hamilton.
Volunteer, Marsha Nash, has been assisting in Nobel's library and textbook room for over 5 years.
Library Calendar
Teachers may sign up for the library in person, or by phone at ext. 566 or 773.4758.
During class time students need a library pass in order to visit the library. There is a limit of 2 students on pass per teacher. Students do not need a pass to visit the library during their free time.
Library Technology
The library is a classroom that can be used by the entire school. We have forty laptop computers which allow students access to online reference materials. We instruct students in the use of LAUSD's Digital Library and its invaluable curriculum-related databases. The teacher librarian is available to collaborate with teachers in implementing lessons using this state-of-the-art technology.
