News and Announcements

Join us in celebrating Inclusive Schools Week December 7-11, 2020!

The Inclusive Schools Week’s theme is “The Time for Inclusion is Now!” Since its inception in 2001, Inclusive Schools Week has celebrated the progress that schools have made in providing a supportive and quality education to an increasingly diverse student population, including students who are marginalized due to disability, gender, socio-economic status, cultural heritage, language preference, and other factors. The Week also provides an important opportunity for educators, students and parents to discuss what else needs to be done in order to ensure that their schools continue to improve their ability to successfully educate all children. School Experience Survey for Parents

The district’s School Experience Survey is now available for all parents and staff, and students in Grades 4-12. We encourage everyone to complete this survey no later than December 11 because it provides important feedback about the teaching and learning environment at our school.

This year, to protect the health and safety of everyone in our school community, we strongly encourage parents to take the survey online by clicking the title of this news article or go to achieve.lausd.net/schoolexperiencesurvey and clicking the “Parent Survey” button near the top of the page. The parent survey is available in English and Spanish and can be completed on any digital device, including the computers provided by Los Angeles Unified. At Nobel we are encouraging advisory classes to obtain 100% student and parent participation. After completing the parent survey, take a picture or screenshot of the screen showing submission of the survey or print out a copy of the screen that shows you submitted the survey. Have the child provide this information to their advisory teacher.

If you are not able to take the survey online, a limited number of paper surveys are available at our school. Please contact us for details.

Family Survey for Reopening

In order to move forward on our return to campus safely, we ask that every family complete The Program Selection Form online at reopening.lausd.net/familyselection by Sunday, December 6, 2020. Each family will be able to choose between the two instructional models that will be available for families when it is safe for students to physically return to our campuses. Please click the title of the news article for more information, including a link to the survey and the Family Guide.

Donate to MEND!
