The Parent Center serves as a parent classroom -- a place where parents can learn about curriculum, community resources, communicating with teachers and school personnel, and ways to support children's learning at home.  Parents learn about the importance of the social and emotional well-being of children as well as strategies and resources to support their development.  The knowledge and skills that parents acquire at the Parent Center prepare them to be successful in their roles as their children's first and life-long teachers and advocates.

El Centro de Padres sirve como un salón de clases para padres, un lugar donde los padres pueden aprender sobre el plan de estudios, los recursos de la comunidad, comunicarse con los maestros y el personal de la escuela, y formas de apoyar el aprendizaje de los niños en el hogar. Los padres aprenden sobre la importancia del bienestar social y emocional de los niños, así como las estrategias y los recursos para apoyar su desarrollo. Los conocimientos y las habilidades que los padres adquieren en el Centro de Padres los preparan para tener éxito en sus roles como los primeros maestros y defensores de sus hijos.

Local District Northwest is offering a virtual summer enrichment program


Local District Northwest is offering a virtual summer enrichment program, Art + Activism, for grades 6-8 students.  A relevant and engaging virtual program taught by LAUSD Visual Arts teachers.  The program is scheduled June 22nd - July 22nd, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM.   Space is limited.   See the attached flyer for more information.

Beyond the Bell Information

Students joining the Summer School and/or Beyond the Bell Program who have NOT attended in-person learning must have a baseline test within 7 days prior to the start of the program(s).    The attached flyers provide the steps for students to register for a Covid-19 Test.

The clubs remaining are geared towards transitioning from one grade level to next and helping students feel at ease. The focus is students who will be transitioning into middle or high school for the first-time next year, but all are welcomed.
