Fitness
Students must demonstrate daily warm-up exercises, using proper form technique, to prepare for safe and effective movement.
Students must demonstrate their ability to make ongoing improvements in health-related fitness (cardiovascular endurance, muscle strength, muscle endurance, & flexibility).
Students must review the Fitnessgram testing videos and the Healthy Fitness Zone Standards. The videos are accessible on Schoology using the student login portal.
Weekly Homework Practice: Practice push-ups & curl-ups at home 3-4 days per week.
Students should make sure to use proper form and gradually increase the quantity of their performance.
The fitness rubric will be used to score students on ability to demonstrate a variety of strength and conditioning exercises with safety, consistent effort, and proper technique while engaging in all fitness activities, exercises, & work-outs.
Students will also demonstrate ability to monitor, track, and make personal growth/improvement in their fitness.
